About Us
Founded in 2023 by members of Hamilton’s music, theatre, and art communities, Crown Point Players is a new musical theatre company with a mission to share passionate performances in interesting and sometimes unexpected places. We believe in creating accessible works outside of the confines of traditional theatre settings.
Current Production
35mm: A Musical Exhibition
Our inaugural production of 35mm: A Musical Exhibition is a contemporary musical theatre song cycle by Ryan Scott Oliver based on photographs by his husband, Matthew Murphy. Each song is a snapshot of a moment and their disparate stories are collected and shared like a theatrical photography show.
Performed at Crown & Press Gallery and Cafe on Ottawa St. North in Hamilton, this production connects its theatrical take on photography with the local art scene and explores an interdisciplinary approach to the songs of 35mm: A Musical Exhibition.
Performances take place on June 20th, 22nd, and 23rd.
