DrillyGirl Entertanment

“Sis the straight Music & Fashion for this fuc*kin era of The Bronx.” -Kay Flock

It is clear for this generation that The Bronx is definitely in the BUILDING! Acts like Cardi B, Kay Flock and A Boogie wit da Hoodie have been consistent with putting it on for the Boogie Down Borough that KRS and Fat Joe and Remy Ma paved for this era to take the WORLD BY STORM Hip Hop wise! However, these rappers wouldn’t be in the position to be where they are on the map without crediting some of the most proactive people from the X that are behind the scenes! Producers, Managers, GFX Artists, Stylists or even people like TRENDII ON THE BEAT, a young Latina from Gun Hill Road who has been labeled active at all of the above! Let’s also lock in Promotion since we’re building the list with her new brand called DRILLYGIRL that she launched after receiving her Bachelors in Music Merchandise from CUNY Bronx on University Ave, not far from where she grew up! Tap In!

Trendii Maritza Luna Medina-Martinez is a small Girl, but has some powerful figures in the Bronx behind her pushing her to make a way for them to get out of the Hood! She adds, “…that my Brother Majestic was so talented (RIP) we had mad plans to do a Record Label, he would brag to his homies that I was in School for that so when he got blasted the block was still rooting for me, so I do this for my brothers and all my peoples that died for… you know. Activity” Trendii says, “I make beats for the nig**as in front of my Building, you gotta be here (The Bronx) to understand what it means to get dressed and go out on a Drilly. A lot of pain. Dead Ass.”

We expect New Artists, Acts, Drama and coverage of a whole lotta Gangshit from DRILLYGIRL MAG., ENT. & PROD. BX. this year! So if your sensitive to a whole lotta Blickies knockin' you might wanna wear your life preservers and turtle necks because DRILLY GIRL MAGAZINE & ENTERTAINMENT, BX is not only about the Music and Lime Light, thier whole staff are Kids that got open cases and do this for the Streets, “…the G Wall (free the guys) and all our Deads (RIP). “

-Brandy Vasquez (Interviewer)

When Streetlife is incorporated in Music the vibes create Drillionaires! -Man with a Ski Mask

In this generation it’s hard to not say, “Girls do not run the World.” Especially, with the amount of sistas that are gracing the Lime Light in Hollywood today! When it comes to Hip Hop Music where females have proven countless times that they can hang with the toughest and most consistent of guys on the Microphone year after year, it makes us wonder if the respect level of Females on the NY and UK Drill Scene can be matched. Her name is TRENDII ON THE BEAT. She thinks of herself as the new Suge Knight and her Label DRILLYGIRL ENTERTAINMENT is a force to be reckoned with!

BLAST 89: So tell us about Trendii you look comfortable sitting here, no security, Coffee, thanks for stopping by what brings you to Los Angeles?

Trendii: I’m just visiting and shit. I don’t leave New York often and bae was like let’s go check this place out. Spending a few dollars. Regular Shit.

BLAST 89: Who is the Lucky Guy?

Trendii: (Laughs) I have to answer that? Let’s just say my homie from Gun Hill then. Y’all Wilding. My homie Medina. We like best friends and he… well that’s my bae! It’s deep!

Blast 89: Your Blushing! Let’s talk about Drillygirl Entertainment then!

Trendii: Well a Bit*ch makes beats for the Dummies! We got 2 Artist we working on. More or less we do promotion with other up and coming artists. We bout to drop a mixtape. Right now? I’m chewing off these beats. Respectfully.

BLAST 89: You have a very Gritty sound! Where does that come from?

Trendii: Just being in the Bronx, goin to Brooklyn. I listen to the streets. I be in the streets a lot. I go to the functions. I’m a lil Gangsta yo! (Laughs)

BLAST 89: I see.

Trendii: I don’t even jack Rap Music all like that. I’m One Hundred percent Drilly. I grew up listening to Chief Keef and Pop Smoke. Shi* like dat, so this Drillionaire shi* is all I know. Gangsta. Dead Homies. Drilly.

Trendii is clearly an authentic product of todays NYC Drill Movement and she and her team are working hard to make it out of a place they refer to as Hell. The Bronx. Known for its rough nature, crooked cops and it’s current infestation of Gang Activity, The Bronx is a hard place to make it out of.

When I spoke to Trendii I got a sense of reality that this lane she is paving is a little deeper than rap. It’s almost like a product of the streets just happened to stumble on overwhelming beauty and talent! She is not chasing a dream, this Grime/Drill music seems to be the way of life incorporating with the streets for Drillygirl Records. It’s almost like the rose that grew from Concrete.
Kids in the Bronx are very talented. Hopefully Trendii doesn’t make the same mistakes of her peers in recent months and years by taking this violent entertainment and turning it into a criminal reality. Much love to The Bronx.
