My name is Lindsey, I’m a self taught home baker in Newport News, VA 📍

I’ve spent my entire life in the 757 & love it here. I graduated from CNU in 2016 with a degree in business marketing. I’m a Contract Specialist at NASA and WW Guide by day, and home baker by night. 🍰 My love for baking comes from my Mom and Grandma, long story short it’s in my blood! In the summer you can find me gardening, canning, making jam for my @figgin.deliciousjam business and relaxing on the beach!

I have the sweetest/craziest beagle pup named Paisley 🐶 and the most supportive boyfriend by my side👩‍❤️‍👨

I’m super thankful for everyone’s support so far and can’t wait to see where this year takes me!

Everyone who knows me knows how much I love cooking & baking for others. It brings me so much joy watching someone enjoy something I put all my love into. 🥰 Most people also know how much I’ve struggled with my weight my whole life. Having baking/cooking as an outlet on top of an unhealthy relationship with food doesn’t mix well.

Pre-COVID I’d bake & bring it to coworkers. Watching them enjoy my food brought me way more happiness than indulging in them myself which lead to guilt and shame. It was a win win!

When COVID hit, gyms shutdown, 99% of our time was spent at home, I could no longer attend in person @WW workshops which have helped me lose 82lbs over the last two years. The thought of not being able to continue my wellness routine was scary & the thought of continuing baking but not being able to share with people was also scary. Temptation at my fingertips was daunting. Not being able to share my love for baking with others anymore hurt.

After baking for a few family birthdays in 2020 & a little push from family & friends to step outside my comfort zone & offer my talents to all of you, I’m back to doing what I am truly passionate about!! I never thought this hobby would grow so much over the last month but you guys have been so supportive & have my calendar FULLY BOOKED for all of March and April! I’m still in shock but I’m so grateful for everyone’s support! ❤️
