Welcome!

Princess Lucy Rose

Hi, my name is Lucy!
I am a service, therapy, and AKC trick dog. My mom and I live in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona!

Here on my page you can find discount codes for some of our favorite toys, treats, and clothes—along with training tips, recipes, and more!

One of my favorite things to do is to volunteer as a therapy dog with Gabriel’s Angels. There’s nothing like making a child’s life better! I love dog sports, especially agility. And as a service dog for my mama, we travel all over together. I’ve even been to Disneyland (one of my all time favorite places)!!i 👑

Service Dogs and Theme Parks

What to Expect

As a task-trained service dog, I go with my mom just about everywhere! That means I tag along to restaurants, festivals, grocery stores, and even theme parks! My favorite one so far is Disneyland, since they had so many rides that I could try too!

Some tips for visiting *any* park…bring lots and lots of water! It can be an exhausting day for both you and your dog. Another great idea is to bring shoes for your dog. It can get hot on their paws, especially during the summertime! We usually bring a cooling jacket as well.

Disneyland

Disneyland is super accommodating when it comes to Service Dogs! When you get to the front gate they ask you the two questions to make sure you are a legitimate service dog team (1) Is this a service dog trained to assist with a disability; (2) what tasks has the dog been trained to perform.

I was allowed to go on a ton of rides! You heard that right…Service Dogs can go on any ride that does not have a height requirement. That includes rides like Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, It’s a Small World, and King Arthur’s Carousel.

If you want to ride something that is a little too dangerous for your Service Dog, they have two options. You can do a rider swap, just like you would do it you have a small child. They also have a kennel for Service Dogs, where they can wait while you ride. We opted for the rider swap, just since it made us more comfortable.

They also have SD relief areas around the park. Make sure to map those out, before you go!

Hersheypark

Hershey park is a great spot to walk around and train with your dog! We used it as a first stop theme park, while training and building up confidence around crowds and on small rides.

Hershey, however, does not have quite as many accommodations for Service Dogs in comparison to bigger park like Disney. The only ride I went on was Chocolate World, which was a great experience for a first ride! There are plenty of animatronic characters on this ride, but no crazy loud noises for a dog that is not used to amusement park rides.

We also were told we could go on the carousel and the monorail, but that was about it as far as rides *with* your Service Dog. There are no portable kennels, at least that we saw, if you want to ride bigger rides. So your only option, in that case, would be a rider swap.
