My songs aren’t always happy, but since I was a little kid, I’ve had a persistent sense that things will probably be ok.

I have a degree in audio engineering and worked as a recording studio engineer before I decided to spend a decade obsessively building a career as a professional touring songwriter.

Along the way, I worked a long string of odd jobs, including bank teller, terrible waitress, beer salesperson at NFL games (ok, one NFL game), stagehand, concert hospitality coordinator, chauffeur for teenagers, and literally dozens of other things.

I once, no joke, helped deconstruct a dome built by the government to test fighting robots. That was on a hot July day in the valley north of Los Angeles. When my 12-hour shift was over I drove to Molly Malone’s in Hollywood and used tiny cocktail napkins in the bathroom to wash the dirt and grease off of my face and body. Then I changed clothes and played a show.

Over the past decade, I’ve released a bunch of albums full of original songs, some independently and some on record labels. I’ve played concerts throughout most of the US and Western Europe, plus Canada, Japan, and the UK. I’m a decent gardener, an inconsistent Youtuber and a loyal friend. Recently, I got a puppy named Lola and a cursory glance at my Instagram will tell you that I’m pretty obsessed with her.
