What's your legacy?

Our WHY.

This scholarship is in memory of Roland Kollie Woheel. Born in a small village to a poor family in Lofa County, Liberia he understood early in life the power of survival. He saw a brighter future for himself. He started doing odd jobs during his elementary school days to be able to pay for his school supplies and fees, ultimately putting himself through school until getting his diploma.

Roland was committed to education, he understood that education is of the key ways to create your own future despite where you started. He went on to not only pay the tuition of many students within his Liberian community but also founded the Roland K. Woheel Memorial Institute, a primary school in the community that shaped him. He always pushed the importance of education and opportunity to his family and friends. He saw potential beyond the now. He encouraged everyone around him to be more, to be greater despite humble beginnings. He was a loving family member, father, grandfather, philanthropist.
We are his legacy.
