Ethos

My ethos is grounded in connection, meaning, creativity, and curiosity about how the sensory system impacts every part of our being. I first complete a thorough initial evaluation that includes a strength based method approach to gain insight to a persons full bio psychosocial history. I also use modified motivational interviewing techniques to learn about activities of daily living, leisure interests, and personal values and beliefs to develop a collaborative treatment plan.

In my spare time, I like to go on adventures with my husband, and our dog, go to concerts, practice yoga, explore museums, paddle-board, and garden.

“I do have reasons for hope: our clever brains, the resilience of nature, the indomitable human spirit, and above all, the commitment of young people when they’re empowered to take action.” — Jane Goodall

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational Therapists work with people across the lifespan to facilitate engagement in meaningful daily activities. OTs use strength based methods, and modified motivational interviewing to collaborate with a person to develop an individualized treatment plan that fits their unique lifestyle, routine, leisure interests,

I am passionate about advocating for people with disabilities and vulnerable populations to empower each other to break down barriers. Every human being deserves to live simply, eat nourishing foods, and engage in meaningful daily occupations.
