Mission Statement:
“216 The Beat internet radio station seeks to create a non-commercial community radio station for Cleveland, OH, surrounding areas and abroad. In keeping with the diversity of our broadcasting area, we will seek to air a broad mix of culture and views, with priority given to those who have typically been denied access to mainstream media. The station will enable hosts to share music and opinions as well as build community through bringing people together to work on a common project.”

We are an Urban station with full music licensing; covered for U.K. licensing through PPL and PRS for Music in addition to the existing U.S. licensing through ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and SoundExchange and Canadian licensing through SOCAN and Re:Sound. When our DJ’s and radio personalities play your music you know through Royalty notification or BDS. Our audience has the ability to tune in whether it is mobile phones, social networks, Internet devices, or autos!

Our dedication to preserving music history from old school R&B to new school Hip-Hop, blended with an infusion of Jazz, Reggae, Rock, Country, Gospel, and Salsa is something that we pride ourselves on.
