Who am I
Just a guy with a camera
Hi there!
I started my journey shortly after a trip to Asia years ago.
I came back to Australia and realised all my photos were useless 🤦 so I dedicated the rest of the year to learn so that I can take the photos that I can be happy with.
Since then I have kept learning new techniques and I try and practice whenever possible.
I hope you enjoy my creations 😁
On the next page 👉 you will see what equipment I use and others that I have used and recommend 👌
My gear
This is what I use when I go out and shoot
I'm a canon fan, I've been one since my first camera, but I have to admit my Astro lens is second to none!
My camera
The Canon 5D Mark IV, it's a workhorse. It can do it all! I've done weddings, lifestyle shoots, fashion, creative and nature. Rain, sun, wind, and earth (because I dropped it) 😅
Hi early the best! And always reliable 👌
The obvious choice
My newest lens. It can do it all. It's super fast and reliable 💪
It's a bit heavy but I'll always take it with me!
My Astro lens
If I'm shooting at night this is my choice 👌 I have tried a few lenses in the past but none has been excellent as the sigma 🤩
My back up
A great standard lens. Its a great all round lens. I've even tried astro with it and does alright if your in a dark enough area.
If all else fails
The Canon 50mm 1.8 f lens is the cheapest lens you can probably find with an incredible punch! It's super quick, has excellent low light potential 🤩
Because I'm lazy
Ok, so I have to admit. I might go up and down mountains but when it comes to gear, I want to be minimal. This Nisi filter is awesome. It's a great all round filter and fits in your back pocket 👌
My wish list
These are some upgrades I would do
While I am very grateful for what I have it doesn't hurt to dream a little and wish upon a shooting star 😆
R5
Probably not the best for your wallet but I have little to say about this camera. In many ways it's similar to my 5D Mark IV but also different.
A proper tripod
Every photographer needs at least one immovable object for those really stable shots. It's not to say my old cheapo doesn't do wonders. It's more this one is super light weight and portable. Mine? Not so much.
