The most authentic and tiny restaurant in the middle of town. Enjoy getting off the tourist trap of the main street and enjoy fresh octopus or sardines as the famous yellow Lisbon trams trundle past.
Manteigaria
Delicious Pastel de Nata made right before your eyes in a hole in the wall shop in the centre of town. Stand along the bar with your cafèand watch the experts at work while your mouth waters and you wonder how many you could eat in one sitting.
Colina
A local restaurant that will transport you straight back to the 1970s but with the best fried fish and Bacalhau à Brás (scrambled eggs, potato and codfish). Generous serves and attentive waiters balance out the strange cheese offered on arrival and dark quarters.
