It’s not a weakness to care about animals, it’s a strength

A little bit about me: I am a 18 year old level 3 animal management student from Salford. I am passionate about animals and enjoy spending time with family .

A little bit about my course:
In the course you study a range of topics - animal health and welfare, animal biology, animal feeding and nutrition, animal behaviour and communication, wildlife rehabilitation and conservation, animal breeding and genetics as well as having practice with animal handling and husbandry. In the college we have a large amount of livestock including: raccoon dogs, yellow mongoose and meerkat, common marmosets, guanaco, alpaca, sheep, goats, Shetland ponies, Bennett wallaby’s, emu, rabbits, guineapigs, ducks, capybara, a large range of exotic reptiles, large aviaries with a range of beautiful birds, aquatic cold water fish, tropical fish, tropical marine fish, drugs , rats, mice, hamsters and a large amount of invertebrates and amphibians. The college also has 2 beautiful cats but we don’t class them as work animal they are more like the college pets 😊
