Hi There! My name is Savannah. Before we get into piano talk, I'd like to give you a brief background story.

I was born in the beautiful island of Tahiti, French Polynesia and raised in the lovely Maryland, USA. I grew up in a multicultural home being half East African and half New Zealander, so you can imagine different languages and accents spoken at home!

Playing piano has been a hobby that I have been doing since I was about five years old. Can I then say that I have been playing piano for about twenty years!?! In my very early years of playing piano, my parents had me take piano lessons for about two years in total. I greatly benefited from these classes as they helped me learn how to read music notes!

But, I found that playing piano by ear and without notes allowed me to express myself better than following music sheets! So, I continued my piano journey through self training my ears to pick up on notes that I heard and play them. What fun this is to be able to hear a song and play it fully from start to finish within less than one hour!
To do this takes time, practice, and passion for music.

Now you know a little bit about me, let us discuss about the classes I provide!

You guessed it! I teach students how to play piano by ear! No music sheets! The classes I provide help train the student's ears to pick up on notes better - which is proven to be more of a skill than reading off music sheets!

My motto in teaching is, "Encourage the student to express themselves through piano". My virtual weekly classes that are offered for : 30 min and 60 min are tailored to the individual needs of each student. This means that I slightly adapt my way of teaching to my student's way of learning. This is so that the student best benefits from their custom classes (hand picked from my curriculums)!

While I keep my students from getting bored out of their classes, I do expect them to want to learn and have some quantity of appreciation for the piano/keyboard.

If you are interested to have your child/children learn piano playing by ear, but want to know more about pricing fees for the lessons, simply follow these steps!

1) Send me a Direct Message via Instagram or Whatsapp.

2) Select which weekly class times you would prefer for your child/children. (30 min or 60 min)

NOTE: For children 10 and under, I would recommend 30 min classes.

3) Feel free to ask for Sibling discount if wanting to enroll more than one child! Or... if you'd like to save on money and your friends have kids, gather a little group of friends with kids that might want to enroll their children in piano lessons. Share the love and get a discount!

4) You will get a response from me within 1-2 business days!

5) Please note, payments for weekly classes are made monthly. You would pay per month for your child's/children's weekly classes.
