I had never felt so powerless in my life.

It was my weakest moment – when I realized I was under the complete control of others.
I was working as a carer at care home and had gone to my manager to ask for some free time to go on a very special holiday with my family. To give some context, my family didn’t really take holidays because my husband and I were always too busy with work!
