Monday is Korean, with brown eyes and dark brown shoulder length hair. Their clothing tends to be lots of collared shirts, skirts, and neutral tones with simple jewelry and her favorite Doc Marten’s.
Monday is a quiet and socially awkward teen who attends Afterglow High School. An outcast, Monday spends most of her time listening to other people's conversations and pretending to be aloof. Finding solace in social media, she posts her inner thoughts to their Instagram and Tumblr, hoping beyond hope that someone besides the void is reading it, and understands. Along with being infamously strange, they enjoy sitting by the lake and watching the sun set and rise. Monday is done with being the town "witch" and intend to disprove that very soon.

Theo is the local poet at AHS. Read more about them below!
Theo is Native American (Cherokee), with dark brown eyes and short dark brown hair. Their style consists of their iconic trench coat, and lots of dark neutrals. It's all very dark academia.
Theo, as they constantly mutter to themself, was born in the wrong time period. They wear the dark academia aesthetic as a second skin, listen to old jazz music, and doodle in the style of old cartoons. They don’t have a ton of friends--they’re a natural introvert with a little bit of social anxiety, and they exude such a feeling of 'angstiness' that other people just kind of stay away, but they’re truly a sweetheart. They have ADHD and if you have the nerve to walk up to them and ask about western films they'll ramble on for hours. Theo's favorite season is October; every day is Halloween for them. They like to stay up late, writing poetry and looking up at the stars, hoping that someday someone will be looking back. Lastly, Theo is frequently accompanied by their black cat, Pebble (pictured), and their sheepdog, Rock.

Ophelia loves to watch the sun set and rise everyday on her roof. Read more about her below!
Ophelia has blonde hair, and fair skin. Her style tends to vary on the side of soft cottagecore and is overall very free and loose.
Ophelia is a painter, she loves creating beautiful images and pieces. She hopes someday to be able to create pieces that thousands of people may enjoy as much as she has. She doesn't go out very much, but when she does, it's usually to enjoy the beauty of the world she loves to explore. Her favorite place in Afterglow is the lake, and many of her paintings are inspired by it. Ophelia may often be naïve, but she is wise, and usually a good person to go to when it comes to advice. She likes older music, classical 40s sounds being a particular favorite (which is even more evident by an extensive record collection). Ophelia is friendly towards most everyone, but her best friend is Marina, the local weather girl. Along with painting, Ophelia enjoys poetry, and even writes it on occasion.

Dot is a ghost who lives in Whimsy. Dot is mainly a loner with an interest in hanging out by themself. They also like to obsess over what could have been and like to get it back.

Ivy can be found hanging around the Afterglow’s public library, probably reading a book. Read more about her below!
Ivy has medium brown skin and thick, curly black hair, which they often wear in buns or braids. She wears round glasses and likes turtlenecks. Their aesthetic could best be described as dark academia. She likes to wear sweaters and cardigans. They’re on the shorter end, but still within a perfectly reasonable average.
Ivy's favorite place to be is the library, where they have a part-time job shelving and checking out books. They love reading, especially fantasy and sci-fi novels with really well-done worldbuilding. Books are one of the only things she’s really confident and comfortable talking about. She's also a very academic person; she takes the most advanced classes available and is that person who writes a five-page paper when one page would have sufficed. She tutors elementary school students, especially in math, and shares her notes with classmates when they were sleeping during class (shaking her head all the while). They like listening to soft, indie music (the kind with just a ukelele or a piano) and classical music, among others. Their favorite subject in school is history. She loves looking through old records and likes to imagine that someday she'll find proof that magic exists. She doesn't have a lot of close friends her age-- book characters hold that place for her, and the elderly librarians that she drinks tea with. They're quiet, but if you call on them in class, they always know the answer. They've been known to sit with a book at lunch and pretend to be reading while actually eavesdropping.
She knows many people, but few people know her. At school, she keeps her head down in class; she turns in all of her work on time, but she doesn't particularly like participating in discussions. At lunch, she sits in the corner of the cafeteria with a book, listening in on nearby conversations. She has a lot of thoughts on high school social structures for someone who isn't really part of them.

Catalina has tan skin and dark hair in a shaggy haircut. She has many piercings and wears an excessive amount of jewelry, particularly rings. Her aesthetic (and fashion sense) is most inspired by 70s hippie styles.
Catalina isn’t originally from Afterglow. She was born and raised in Panama, but has just moved to town because of her parents' work. And you can rest assured, she'll talk about her culture a lot. It means everything and more to her. She's a drummer, having been in band her whole life, and will almost always be found with her drumsticks tucked in her back pocket. Her music taste is as eclectic as her family history, with soft bedroom pop being in the same playlists as reggaetón and classic rock. She collects crystals and makes her own rings. She may be an outsider, but you can catch her at parties dancing until her feet hurt, or at the library practicing her English by reading some contemporary novel. The one thing she'll never admit is how much she loves to write research papers, though no amount of research has helped her figure out what makes Afterglow feel so different from everywhere else yet.

April has curly brown hair, often kept in a bun and light skin. They often wear lots of layers, always paired with Doc Martens, stains from charcoal or paint, and her gold Star of David necklace.
April is a high school dropout who works at many of the locations around Afterglow such as the library, Pal's Diner, and Starlight Coffee. He lives with his partner, Dan (they/them), in a cottage near the lake. An artist, April is perpetually creating and exploring and is never found without her satchel. Last time they checked, it had his sketchbook, a hairbrush, new paints, knitting needles (April does not know how to knit), some twigs and water in a jar with weird floaty things in it, and fuzzy socks. In their sketchbook you can find drawings of locations and people all around Afterglow, and April's favorite thing to draw is his dreams which can get very close to life in town. Autistic, April has a special interest in frogs and has 2 of them-- Kermit and Edith Clark (named by April and Dan respectively). A wanderer, April has been delving more into the history of Afterglow and in her research, found some strange things. He looks forward to exploring more and spending mornings making tea with Dan.

Calliope has tan skin and naturally long baby blue hair. Their eyes are hot pink, and sticker litter their face like freckles (they actually are their real freckles). They constantly wear fun accessories and bright, pastel colored clothing.
Calliope is a happy-go-lucky Whimsy-lover who happened to get caught up in Aspen’s shenanigans (or vice-versa depending on how you look at it). They are a bubbly over-emotional little fairy that thinks life’s a dream. They constantly have their head in the clouds, literally and metaphorically (thanks to Fizzy). They view the world through rose colored glasses as if nothing can go wrong. Calliopes also likes to embroider fun designs on their clothes and draws many different designs on their arms and legs whenever they are bored.

Aspen has tan skin and messy, short, dark brown hair. They're very short, around 5'0, and wear an excessive amount of earrings. He's always covered in some kind of mud from running around in the woods, and their aesthetic can only be described as corvidcore.
Aspen is the down-to-earth, sarcastic pragmatist to Calliope’s dreamer. They hate everything about Whimsy, from its pink fluffy clouds to the fact that it's a dreamland. Why? Because Whimsy hates them in return. Instead, they find peace in the woods, and can be frequently found face down in the mud. When they're stuck in Whimsy, however, Aspen can be found in the one place where Whimsy was kind to him—his library. He loves identifying plants, talking to all manner of small creatures, and wants nothing more than to escape Whimsy.

Archie can be found tending the garden or with Wonderkid. Read more about him below!
Archie has a curly mop of orange hair and light skin covered with freckles, you’ll often see him in his hand me down jacket accompanied by an assortment of various hats. More often than not he will unknowingly have sticky weed attached to his back.
Apart from school, you’ll mostly find Archie in the garden or wandering the surrounding fields; the garden is his baby and he’s very dedicated to its upkeep. While exploring the Afterglow area he will make notes and illustrations of the local vegetation in his journal, discovering Afterglow’s unique and isolated ecosystem as he does. He’s a very sweet, lively soul but has trouble making friends and often comes off as over enthusiastic and strange. He’s known Wonderkid for as long as he can remember, the two spend heaps of time together, talking about stars, looking for bugs and secretly stealing glances at each other.
In more ways than one, he is a bright soul.

Wonderkid is basically quiet sunshine. Read more about him below!
Wonderkid has messy brown hair and rosy cheeks. You’ll always see him in his yellow sweater paired with jeans and starry shoes. If you look closely at his eyes, they’re in the shape of stars, but he uses contacts to cover them up.
Maybe Wonderkid’s parents expected greatness when they named him Wonderkid, but that’s the last thing he wants. In contrast to his personality, he’s always seen wearing a bright yellow sweater. He could be described as “if the sunshine was quiet”. Usually you can find him falling asleep in class or teary eyed for some unknown reason. He’s also known for having RSF (resting sad face). In his free time he can usually be found with his cat and parrot, (or as Archie puts it, the Wonderpets), Starchild and Skylark. You can usually also find him with Archie, who he’s known since forever. They’re known to talk about stars, look for bugs, and steal glances at one another.

Marina is Ophelia’s best friend and the school’s weather reporter. Read more about her below!
Marina has medium length wavy brown hair, brown eyes, and fair skin with freckles along the bridge of their nose. Some might say she reminds them of a deer. She usually wears a flannel paired with a key necklace.
Marina minds their own business, and occasionally roams the local graveyard, making up stories for people who once lived in the town. They are a senior in high school and work at an ice cream shop during the summers. She frequents Pa l’s diner, and she always gets a chocolate milkshake. Along with that, she runs the school newspaper, and gives the weather report of the day with the help of her best friend Ophelia. Marina also loves to take photos. She claims she saw Bigfoot once as well and has the picture to prove it.
