Having my first child in 2007, ignited a passion in me to work with pregnant people in some capacity but I didn’t know how. Labor and delivery was so fascinating to me that I considered becoming an OB/GYN because delivering babies seemed so cool but didn’t have the desire to go to school. I quietly set that dream aside until…
The experience with my second child, born June of 2020 in NYC, while under the care of passionate providers, with the support of a doula, I finally knew how I’d make my entrance in the world of birth work. I was called to become a doula and empower women through childbirth.
For months following the birth of my second baby I searched for the right course to begin my training but nothing spoke to me. Once a month I’d go back to the website of the organization I wanted to train with only to be disappointed when nothing sparked. A little over a year later I finally found “the one,” the school I’d train with and all I can say it was worth the wait!
