The Persian Empire
In ancient times, the Persian Empire was the greatest and most powerful empire in the world. Due to its persistent military and wise leaders. Despite only being in power for a bit over 200 years, the Persian Empire has conquered over two million square miles of land. Starting from southern Egypt to parts of Greece and the eastern parts of India. The Persian Empire lasted from approximately 559 B.C.E. to 331 B.C.E. The civilization was known as a very strong civilization. Their civilians wore clothes alike to Arabians; the men wore long fabric colorful robes, and the women wore very colorful clothing. Back then, the color choice of clothing was very important. Historians established this by examining their ancient paintings of Persian civilians.
The original location of the Persian Empire was at west Egypt, to north Turkey, through Mesopotamia, and through the Indus River in the east. But in the present, known as Modern-day Iran. Since the Persian Empire has conquered over two million square miles of land, it means the civilization has lived in a great number of lands throughout the globe.
The very first refrigerator was created by the Persians. They called it “Yakhchāl”. They established this by using a unique combination of lime, sand, clay, goat hair, ash, and white eggs. This mixture was called the “Sārooj”. The Persians discovered that this mixture was capable of resisting heat. It was able to resist high temperatures for a long period of time. They used the mixture to create domes with various and numerous compartments to keep things cold. The different compartments were used especially for food, ice, and more.
