Syeina had been in her own Design office for more than 3 years. She was working on the image for some of the most important brands in Jakarta, when she decided to change her direction to open a tattoo studio. She was not a tattoo artist and she did not know how the business worked, but she had a mix of creativity, passion and experience with previous endeavors.
The first step was learning about the business. She took advantage of her love of tattooing to learn from the strokes, processes and technique that other artists made on her skin. She began practicing on pig's feet and later, under the stage name Sye, worked for two years in tattoo studios.
Syeina wasn't exactly the type of nice person who always had a smile on her face. Actually she was the complete opposite. She was quiet and far from being talkactive. If she had to say something at least it would be something meaningful or useful. But even if she wasn't that nice, she was the most talented person in town. No one drew things like she did and no one made tattoos like she made. People would drive miles just to get a tattoo done by Syeina. Everyone who had a passion for tattoos in Bali, had already heard the name Syeina Alric.
