ALEX’S WORK

Human experience, nature, mental wellbeing and connection are very much at the core of Alex’s work. Combining her performing arts background with her First Class BA (Hons) in Graphic Design [Arts University Bournemouth, 2019], avid interest in gardening and flourishing poetry, Alex uses audio-visual storytelling and multimedia abstraction to inspire explorers of her work to tap into their psyche, become sensorially aware, and unlock their curiosity for reality and fantasy worlds.

Deep-rooted in her fascination with phenomenology and immersive experience, Alex has incubated a strong and growing knowledge of the interaction between audio, visuals, movement, and nature, forging a firm belief that all four are inherently connected. Alex is currently exploring how these areas can collectively aid in positive mental wellbeing, and is excited to delve further into the science, research and visceral feelings of sound.

Taking an art-science approach, Alex continues to exercise and share her abstract audio-visual and sonic creativity via digital platforms, with particular focus on mark-making, nature sounds, and dark, ambient, cinematic and ethereal music.

Questions Alex finds herself pondering: How can human sensations, emotions and natural phenomena be communicated and evoked through music? How can audio help audiences find deeper connections with themselves, environments, and wider communities?

Adventure awaits! 💫
