PMU BROW Aftercare Instructions:
Day 1 - blot the brows with a DAMP cool cotton pad or towel then be sure to follow up with a dry one and dab across each brow to ensure they aren’t damp.
Day 2 - Dampen your brows with cool water, use the non-scented soap provided to clean your brows. Rub lightly with your finger tip back and forth for about 10 seconds . RINSE OFF the soap and then blot dry.
*Keep skincare simple, put away your acids, retinols and vitamin c for at least 2 weeks. Avoid putting any skincare or makeup on your brow area for 2 weeks.
Day 2 -10 (or until completely healed) you will start to incorporate the ointment provided after washing 1 time a day. A tiny rice grain is all you need for both brows, over saturating with ointment can be detrimental to healing.
• Avoid saunas and long steamy hot showers and keep brows away from the pressure of the shower head. If water trickles down your brow be sure to dab them dry right away. The only time you will be truly submerging your eyebrows in water is when you wash them with the soap 1 time a day. You are to avoid working out/sweating for 7 days. You may start light workouts at day 5 but absolutely NO over heating or sweating. You want to keep the pores closed.
• Once the flakes have come off you are free to continue normal makeup routine, still keep acids away from brow but may use below.
• Be conscious of sleeping on your side as it can rub on the pillow and pull off pigment
*Healing is typically 2 weeks. Be sure to keep ointment in a safe place for second session use as well as remaining sanitary with each dip (use a q-tip).
Long term care:
•always use a good sunscreen on your eyebrows if you plan to be in sun for prolonged periods of time. Like hair color, the sun will fade the pigment in your brows.
•if you are planning a chemical peel, laser procedure or an MRI scan, please inform the technician of your microbladed eyebrows
•the use of retin-A/ tretinoin or any other rapid skin exfoliation products used regularly on the forehead area will cause pigment to fade prematurely.
•the use of chemical peels and acid peels regularly on forehead region will also cause fading or pigment.
•a touchup is recommended 10-18 months after the initial two sessions for pigment retention.
