CONTENT CREATING

Be authentically YOU because at the end of the day that’s truly what matters more than anything else in this world

Top 5 things I personally take into consideration before I commit to a day of shooting.

1) Time
2) Location
3) Prop
4) Don't Spend $$
5) Attire
6) Having fun

01

Recommendation #1 : TIME

Depending on your style preference, timing should always matter when taking photos. For me personally, I love shooting in natural sunlight because it gives me just the right amount of glow.

Never turn your back against the sun. Always face the sun! I know it can hurt your eyes but just take breaks in between photos to ensure quality over quantity.

If your color scheme is more on the darker sides, then sunlight may not be a deal breaker for you!

Recommendation #2 : LOCATION

You ideally want to strive for a location that could allow you take more than one photo and not feel rushed. When you have more time, more space to work with, and an attire to match with, your photos will always end up looking great.

Examples of best places to shoot at:
Parks, hotels, coffee shops, street art, solid color walls, garden etc.

You can also check out your favorite bloggers go to spots if they live near your area! Then take a trip down to that location and shoot your own creative content!

Recommendation #3: Props

Just imagine the amount of times you're scrolling and liking photos on a daily basis.. Now imagine how many of those photos are usually the same type of content you see.

It sometimes gets repetitive right?!

So now let's think about our followers and how they must feel with our content as well. How can we change up the game? How can I get more engagement? What do I have to do?!

I asked all of these questions myself and what really changed the game was shifting the way I thought. Instead of asking why, how, what. I would be telling myself express, love, share and have fun.

> So in these moments where I'm expressing my emotions, I learned to use props to add definition to the photos I was posting.

> When I wanted to share love, I provided captions to spread my inspiration, empathy and care for my followers.

> When I wanted to educate, I created a creative space like this to share my knowledge and love for helping others! I'm not a pro and I don't consider myself to be.. but I can say that content creating with purpose opened up more doors for me!

> When I wanted to have fun, I was moving my body and living in the moment. Instead of worrying about if people are looking or if the photos are making me look fat... I trusted myself and built more confidence with each shoot.

⚡️ Some TIPS ⚡️
with props

1) moving side to side
2) throwing it up in the air
3) covering the camera or a little of your face
4) stuffing it in your outfit, boots, or back pocket
5) tapping into a wall (make your own wall art)

ALSO
Don't forget that your outfit or hair can be a prop to your advantage!

Recommendation #4: Don't Spend $$

You don’t HAVE to spend tons of money breaking your wallet to buy yourself the best of the best cameras. If you own an iPhone, you’re already set to go. A trick I use to get my motion pictures with props, I use the burst feature on iphone. If you don't know what that is or how to get there, click below to get more info!

Recommendation #5: Attire

Your attire matters so much. Stay true to your style but also keep in mind, adding a nice outfit will only keep your audience engaged and intrigued.

A BIG PLUS to shooting and getting that extra oomph in your after results is to try to match your location, props, and attire together.

If it just happens to be where your on the road and you found a spot with some cute flowers to match your color scheme at the moment. Trust me girl, I know the feeling! Don't skip out on that shot. Go ahead and take it! Just use your outfit to your advantage while posing with 90 degree angles or even triangular poses☺️

Reccomendation #6: HAVE FUN

Loosen up and enjoy yourself. It’ll definitely
show if you’re awkward and stiff in your photos. I know you're a vibrant, beautiful, and filled with jokes. Embrace that girl because no one else can be like you. It’ll be a waste if you can’t share a little bit of your true self💕

So have someone take your photos! Whether that is your best friend, boyfriend, mama, sister, etc. just have someone take the photos. The reason why I say this is 1) so you don't stress over doing it all on your own and 2) being with someone who makes you comfortable, makes the content creating experience fun!
