yearning

Altair + Vega is a long form creative project exploring liminal spaces, duality and juxtaposition. This project consists of illustration, watercolour and ink painting, photography, digital art, paper sculpture and ceramic object creation. It explores macabre, occult, religious and mythological imagery paired with elements of the natural and built world. This body of work introspects on the often overlooked bizarre and mundane aspects of the world around us, and calls to a yearning for more than what we see on the surface - something deeper, beyond the veil.

This work has been inspired by and carried out on the unceded lands of the Wiradjuri people of the Kulin Nation, and the unceded Bundjalung lands of the Bundjalung people by a white settler.
