THINGS I GIVE A SHIT ABOUT: A SHORT SERIES
Instagram shows very little, like the drinks. Here’s the appetizer, if you will.
maybe you’ll find a new song you like or learn more about an important topic you are also passionate about. or maybe you’ll just leave here knowing more about me and that’s cool too tbh.
Tastes of Portlandia
I’m not a food critic, nor am I a chef, but I do know good food when my taste buds send enlightened messages to my brain! Had fun reviewing some Portland flavors that redefine palatable food + drink. Take a look if you’re intrigued or if your hungry.
For real though, what are we without music? Here’s a playlist of my CURRENT fav songs (constantly subject to change), for you. You’ll find a ton of indie/alt rock on here (no country here, folks) so if that’s not your jam, don’t sweat it. But maybe give it a listen. Put it on shuffle. Don’t judge by the first ten seconds. It is indeed creative genius.
Juneteenth recognizes the day in 1865 that enslaved Africans in Galveston, TX were told they were free. Two years after the emancipation proclamation was signed. The article attached goes in depth on what Juneteenth represents and how slavery did not just ‘end’ on this date. Black lives still, and always will, matter. Never stop educating yourself.
