This NYT article talks about the new guidelines around the use of formaldehydes in cosmetics specifically in Smoothing Treatments/Keratin, and how the FDA is making changes to guidelines. In addition, by 2025 the state of California will be changing their laws to no longer allow products with formaldehydes. See the article link below.
