Greetings!

My name is Jaenice and I am a Birth & Postpartum Doula. Ashe’ - is the life force breathed into each human being by God. Here at Ashe’ Brooklyn Doula Services, my goal is to create a safe space where every expectant parent can lean into their pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience utilizing traditional southern medicine & practices. Before the introduction of today’s OB/GYN services, there were “granny midwives”, the term applied to African-American lay women who delivered the majority of both black and white women’s babies in the rural south during the 1900’s.
