Wana know more?

Ashleigh Stephens, a 31-year-old artist from Melbourne, has been immersed in the world of art since a young age. Ashleigh began honing her skills in portrait drawing under the guidance of her father. Encouraged by her dad, who not only provided unwavering support but also valuable artistic insights, Ashleigh's passion for art blossomed.

While studying at North East Tech's arts program and commencing a Fine Arts Bachelor's degree at RMIT in Melbourne, Ashleigh's artistic journey took shape. Throughout her academic pursuits, she garnered praise for her dedication and creativity, often spending hours perfecting her craft after class in the art room.
Ashleigh's artistic endeavors extend beyond the academic realm, as evidenced by her participation in an art gallery exhibition at North East Tech. Her piece, centered around themes of bipolar disorder and mental health, resonated deeply with viewers, showcasing her ability to convey complex emotions through art with the help of her father who had be diagnosed with bipolar when Ashleigh was only a new born.
Despite grappling with mental health challenges herself, including vivid sensory experiences and dream-like visions, Ashleigh channels these unique encounters into her art. Her female portrait paintings, inspired by surreal dreams featuring cartoon-like figures, offer a glimpse into her imaginative world.
With a rich artistic background and a unique perspective shaped by personal experiences, Ashleigh Stephens continues to captivate audiences with her evocative artwork.

  1. A big thanks to my personal philanthropist, my dad, without him, this would not at all be possible. Being my first mentor and teacher of visual arts, he guided me through my entire creative life. So to my biggest fan and definitely my biggest critic I thank you for the support and love you've given me, I appreciate and love you so much.

My Family Tree

Custom made family tree paintings

This is my mothers side of our family tree. There is 34 of us in this painting starting with the first generation being 4 sisters, and their descendants, The eldest sister is my nan, you can call her Little Nan she sits at the start of the line and following her are her children and then their children which is my generation. Then we move onto the 2nd eldest sister, this is my great aunty Maureen, her partner and then her children and theirs, these arey cousins. Next is Aunty Di and her late husband Pete, the angel in this piece, and finally the youngest sister, Aunt Noel and her family.

This is my typical family Christmas days, mothers days, ect. I am so grateful to have these people as my family, theyre so much fun and a great laugh, especially the aunties(the 4 sisters). I love this painting bcuz it makes me feel happy when i look at it, it makes me feel a sense of how ive felt when we all catch up for a celebration or event which are always a great time.

Contact me if you are interested in a family tree painting of your own, we can discuss design, size/shape of canvas, your family members and any other ideas you have.
