Aus Dancehall is a Dance Company which specialises in authentic Jamaican Dancehall. We provide classes, courses and lectures world wide and are based in Melbourne, Australia.

We are here to bring our Australian community closer together through Dancehall Dancing, with respect to Jamaican culture.

About Rasta Huxx

Jamaican Dancehall Dancer/Lecturer

Shamar Morrison (well known as Rasta Huxx) is an international dancer, teacher, choreographer and lecturer from Jamaica. He is a former member of one of Jamaica’s well-known dance crews called Overload Skankaz. Rasta Huxx was part of the group for 5 years before dancing solo and touring different countries such as Russia & Australia, to teach his famous dance moves and choreography.

Being born and raised in Jamaican Culture, Rasta Huxx specializes in Dancehall smoothness, hardcore, street vybes, Old School Dancehall and New School Dancehall. He has been lectured and guided by Dancehall Pioneers such Global Bob & Boysie Roses.

In 2018 Rasta Huxxz joined the newly formed dance group Flame Team – Foot on Flamez. They are a New School dance group known locally and internationally for their infectious energy and popular dance steps such as ‘Falla Mi’, ‘Yaad Love’, ‘Mi Nah Look’ and many more.

Rasta Huxx has worked with many different Jamaican artists such as Voicemail, Spice, and producer Monkey Marc which featured artists such as Stacious and Ninja Man. He has also been judging numerous Dancehall competitions since 2016. Rasta Huxx is currently in Melbourne teaching Dancehall classes at Jungle City Studios and Aus Dancehall , sharing his love and passion for his culture and leaving a positive impact on others.

Rasta Huxx believes that dancing changes and touches lives. It’s the language that everyone speaks and understands, the universal soul connection of peace and love, we love Dancehall. And if you know him you heard this before NOSAH!!!!!!!!!

Australian Dancehall Queen 2018

Giselle’s dance journey began at 13 through the style of Hip Hop and Urban Choreography. When joining her first Hip Hop crew, Giselle represented Australia in the World Hip Hop Championships in 2011 in Las Vegas, which was a huge accomplishment and set her standards high right from the beginning.

In 2014 Giselle discovered her genuine love for Dancehall and has made it her mission to become educated in Jamaican Dancehall as much as possible. She has learnt and been lectured by many Dancehall pioneers and currently holds a Stylish Moves Certification for Levels 1 & 2 (Certified by Latonya Style). While travelling back and forth to Jamaica between 2017 – 2019, she has developed a deeper level of understanding about the Dancehall Culture and way of life. She has had many performance opportunities around the globe, some of which include music videos for artists such as Spice, Monkey Marc, Ninja Man & Stacious.

Giselle is currently part of Melbourne’s leading Dancehall crew Burn City Queenz, the first and only female Dancehall Group in Melbourne, Australia. In 2018 Giselle won the crown and title of Australian Dancehall Queen. She currently teaches in Melbourne at Jungle City Studios and Aus Dancehall. She aims to share her love and passion for Dancehall styles as authentic as possible with respect to Jamaican dance and culture.
