The Ayu Jewels Story

Welcome to a Ayu Jewels Studio!

My name is a Kiran, and I am a jewellery maker based in Dublin, Ireland. I also curate a selection of home decor pieces and accessories that are made by small businesses that help support local economies and communities.

I started this business in 2019, as a way to showcase the curated collection of homewares, jewellery and accessories I had to offer. I started selling my handmade jewellery soon after, in March 2020, after I became interested in polymer clay jewellery that I was seeing on Instagram. I wanted to give it a try, which I did, and the rest is history!

So where does this shop’s name come from?

“Ayu”, is an Indonesian word and pays homage to the Indonesian heritage of my paternal grandmother. The word means “beautiful”.

“Jewels” is not just to point out I sell jewellery but all atheists other curated “gems” I find from small, local businesses around the world.

“Studio” is fairly obvious and points to one place where I do my making.

Please do have a look around at all the unique pieces I sell in the shop. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Love & light to you all,
