My name is Charissa, I am a 30-year-old mom of two boys. I live in northern BC with my family on an acreage – we are building our little farm. As a family we love to go camping and exploring on our Rzr.

I am on my journey of self rediscovery after having my two boys. After I had my sons I felt so in love, but a little lost. I was so busy loving and taking care of them that I forgot to take care of myself.

My journey started as a health and fitness journey to lose my baby weight (which I’m still on). I started off by listening to a podcast I found by searching weight loss on iTunes- turned out to be life changing. The podcast is called Losing 100 Pounds with Corinne - highly recommend it! She talks about how you need to show up for yourself and each journey so self improvement needs to start where you are and take small doable steps in the direction you want to go. Make it easy for yourself. It involves a lot of thought work and improving how you think and talk to yourself.

One of the ways I chose to start showing up for myself was to do my makeup a couple times a week. That is how I found 𝐒𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐭. I have never been a make up wizard who contoured my face, it seem like voodoo magic that after spending hours of mixing potions and casting spells would leave you with a cake face that would rub off on someone’s shirt the first time somebody gave you a hug (I come from a family of huggers). But I was scrolling Instagram and saw a Seint tutorial and thought “that looks easy enough I could do that” and so beautiful. I started off small, I ordered just the basics: a pallet, a brush and 4 tins of foundation. When it came in the mail I was so excited, and when I tried it- it did not disappoint. I was hooked, I immediately went back online and ordered more stuff to glam it up. I hate spending money on myself but I saw someone in the mirror I recognized but hadn’t seen in a while- the me who took care of me.
