1 Ata Grass Bag
2 Ata Grass Bag
Handwoven in Bali
Ata grass grows in Indonesia and is being picked, sun dried and woven into bags by local craftsman in Bali and Lombok.
After this process the bags are being smoked over a fire of coconut husk to make them durable and resistant to insects - A traditional procedure for these iconic Ata grass products.
Local women then sew cotton sarongs on the inside and add leather straps.
I have ordered and chosen the bags and sarongs myself while I was living in Bali.
Feel free to ask me anything.
