KRISTY PAYNE
Just a woman on a mission
Hello! My name is Kristy Payne and I live in a small town North of Santa Barbara, CA. I am a wife and mother of two kids. Chris my son is 8 and Presley my daughter is 3. I work for my local School District in the office, I am the middle school Cheer Coach, and Co-Athletic director. To say my life is busy is an understatement.
Since having my kids I have severely struggled with my weight. I lacked the ambition and drive to put in the work. I was so busy with the kids and work, how would I ever make time? Not to mention my family surely doesn’t want to eat diet food. It at times felt impossible and I had given up hope of loosing the weight.
In December of 2019, I decided ya know what....
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I gotta focus on this issue. It was really starting to stop me from going places. I hated going to the beach. I hated wearing shorts, I’d legit rather be hot and miserable then just let loose and put on the damn shorts. Anyway, it was January 1, 2019 when I made the change and I never looked back.
I am now down 100 lbs and everyday I am a work in progress. But I broke past the barriers and achieved my goal. I decided January 1, 2020 I would make it my mission to help others also achieve their Health goals. So here I am.....❤️
Weight Loss
How did you loose weight??
I remember in December 2018, I was trying to really think about what I wanted for my 2019 year. You know the normal I need to make a New Years Resolution because that’s tradition, right?
Well every year, for probably 3 years now, I sit down and I write down everything I want for the next year. Sometimes it’s little things like learn how to make something and sometimes it’s big things like buy a new car. After I write it all down I feel like it becomes a mental note and then I stuff the sheet into my side table drawer so I know it’s safe. Anyway, I pulled out my past 2 years of “resolutions” and I sat back to reflect on them.... “Wow, I think I’ve achieved almost all of these” I thought to myself. But the one thing that carried over, year after year, and didn’t get resolved was my weight. It just continued to be a goal I never could meet. It was that day I knew that needed to be my number 1 goal for 2019.
I began to prepare for my weight loss journey better then I had ever prepared before. I was determined to get this taken care of. Check this off my list, per say.
From past times of trying to loose weight I knew Keto worked for me. But I also knew I could never stick with it long enough to get to the goal. But regardless this was definitely going to be the way I loose the weight. I know it works. If you work it, that is.
I knew more then anything I needed to prepare myself for this. I needed to do some homework. Make a list of food. But most importantly get my mind primed and ready for this new change in my life. I went to YouTube and searched Tony Robbins. I knew he was motivational. I knew I loved his videos in the past when I listened and I knew people who succeed talk about personal development. Maybe there is something to it..... after lots of searching I found this video and I swear it lit a fire in me that I needed. He talked all about resolutions and why you fail.
Omg I think this video was literally meant for me to find. I remember finishing the video and thinking “ I can do this, I just need a better vision, that’s what I’m lacking”
I sat down and started to re write my “vision” for the year. I did everything Tony told me. This was going to be so much better this time. I have tools in my tool box. What an amazing feeling!
I downloaded Carb Manager app and set my carb limit to 20 net carbs. On January 1, 2019 I started my Keto journey. I lost 21 lbs my first month and that created such momentum for me. It felt so good to see progress.. I continued to listen to Tony Robbins videos and focused on my personal development. Each time I felt weak I would pull up the original video, that lit my fire the first time. Each and every time it raised the hair on my arms when I would re listen to it.
Mid January I found this girl on Instagram, who had lost like 200 lbs. She kept posting about these diet bets, where you can win money and loose weight. Sounded interesting to me. I like money and winning! Haha. I signed up for and account, paid my $30 bet, and joined her group. The idea of the bet is that you will loose the required weight because you don’t want to forfeit your cash. Something about it works because I have successfully completed 7 bets and I’m working on my 8th now and first hosted.
I am now down 100 lbs and swear everyday I look at myself in shock that I made it here. It’s such a huge accomplishment. It was never easy but it was well worth it.
People often ask me “ did you work out” and the answer is no, I didn’t. I just wanna be honest. 80% of weight loss is what you put into your mouth. I choose to focus on that. At 230 lbs it wasn’t comfortable to work out. One day at a time. The cooolest part is once to start loosing weight you get this mental momentum to keep pushing and at some point your mind will tell you to work out, You will and it won’t be such a chore.
I attest to the fact that it is possible to loose the weight. It is possible to meet your goal. No matter how busy you are. Reach out to me if you need some assistance with anything or have questions!
Here’s the Tony Robbins video I found that lit my fire! Check it out and let me know what you think! I’m curious if it will light your fire like it did mine.

I got these at my local GNC and in store they sell them individually if you have a local store. The peanut butter ones are my fav. They are like 1 net carb per bag. Perfect sweet snack without the cheat.
