Hi, I’m Eileen
I’m so excited you’re here!
Where to start? Well, hello! My name is Eileen and you most likely found your way here through Instagram or from my pageant days (resist judgement, I took no part in the drama). I was a competitor and titleholder for 7 seasons until I decided to hang up my heels and begin a different path. But lets go back to the very beginning.
I was born in Lafayette, IN on October 27, 19-something and was a 3-month NICU baby (TMI?). Yep, that’s right, your girl wanted to be a Scorpio so bad she popped out of the womb nearly 2-months early. My dad, Tim, moved my mom, or Kathryn as I call her, all around the country until we finally settled in San Diego, California when I was 7 years old. Fast forward a few years when I stepped onstage for my first pageant. Enter glitter, hairspray, and all the gowns and crowns, but also a world of empowerment and public speaking. Shortly after my debut, I won my first title and my life was irrevocably changed.
After I left the pageant circuit, I knew I wanted to continue to pursue a life in the personal development industry but was lost in which direction I wanted to go (isn’t that what your teens and twenties are for, though? Figuring out who you are and all that fun stuff?).
In 2014 I travelled 2,356 miles across the country to put on my party girl persona earn degrees in Public Health and Health Education from Miami University — go Redhawks! I dabbled in health writing (you can check out my past pieces here and here) and youth mentorship (with this great organization!) throughout college and post-graduation, but fell victim to the standard 9-to-5 after I flipped my tassel. I’ve driven to an office and made a home at my desk for nearly two years now, but COVID has brought upon a new type of self-reflection — I may love health and wellness as a whole, but my heart lights up when helping young people find their light and love their life. So back to school I went.
On my 24th birthday, I decided to (finally) try to develop this passion for writing and mental wellness into my career. I am now a full-time student by day and a full-time entrepreneur by night. The goals? To one day publish my own personal development book AND create a worldwide mentoring program for kids to help them love themselves a ‘lil extra in a world telling them their not good enough.
I love to connect through words, but I also have a YouTube channel where I share my heart and can connect with you all. You can check it out here! For collaborations, please reach out here and if you just want to chat about the amazing ice cream sundae you had last night, I’d love to read your message here.
Shine bright like a diamond,
Eileen
