Hi! I’m Bec.
I’m 30 years old, Mother of one gorgeous little girl named Farren, originally from New Zealand, living on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
I create simple, tasty, plant-based meals and snacks. I love being in the kitchen, at the beach or on an adventure with my family, always chatting about health and wellness in between.
I strongly believe in eating consciously. We have one body and too many people take advantage of this gift that we have been given. I believe that every single person on this earth should care about the food that they are putting into their bodies and their growing families body.
If you think hard about it, our lives and daily routines are consumed by and constantly revolve around food and eating. As part of the personal changes which I have consciously made for the environment, my approach to food and what I consume on a daily basis has definitely been where I have made the biggest shift.
When I started my journey to a plant-based diet, I didn’t find a lot of helpful information around. I saw a lot of beautiful meals on social platforms and blogging websites but they either required ingredients which I didn’t already have in the cupboard or a lot of ingredients which I didn’t have the time to fluff around with.
The one thing that fellow vegans told me when I was transitioning was “you just need to find your staples”. No one told me how long that would take. I still had tastebuds of eating meat and dairy everyday, Vegan food tasted so different to me. That was already a transition in itself.
It’s taken me a long time to to find my weekly staples, but now I feel content with the Vegan that I am, with the food that I am putting on the table and the ingredients which I am consuming.
It’s my mission to not only spread the Vegan word, but to show you how beautifully simple and easy it is create Plant Based meals in your own kitchen. You do not need a fancy kitchen, or fancy ingredients. You just need a simple and easy recipe and the basic appliances.
I hope you enjoy my recipes. As always, if you would like to have a chat about any of my recipes or my journey please feel free to send me an email through my Contact Form.
