I will be headed to Kennesaw State University in the fall to pursue a degree in psychology! I am following in my mom's footsteps by pursuing a career in mental health advocacy in the form of counseling. I plan to focus on young people, specifically black youth. My goal in taking this path is to have an impact on the generational trauma of black people. By adding to the list of black therapists, I will help create a safe space for people who
look like me to express their feelings and get the help they need. In addition, by focusing on young people, I can help create a generation of mentally sound parents who will raise fruitful members of society.
