Black Feather Reiki Healing

My name is Gayle and I am a reiki therapist based in Wokingham.

My journey of self healing through reiki has offered a range of benefits that have deeply enriched my personal life and improved my ability to support others.

As a Mum of 3 with a busy life and job, the pressures of taking care of a family can mean our own needs for selfcare can end up at the bottom of the list.

Reiki has helped me to reconnect with myself, maintain balance of my emotions and as a consequence has enabled me to be more present.

Reiki has helped induce a state of deep relaxation, which is not only beneficial for me, but also my family.

Reiki can be an effective and gentle complementary therapy for children too, and particularly helpful for those with special educational needs (SEN) and those with social and emotional mental health (SEMH) difficulties The non-invasive nature of Reiki makes it particularly suitable for these children, as it can help address various physical, emotional, and behavioral challenges. As a SEN mum, this has been an invaluable tool.

I am so happy to be able to offer my healing practice for all of your family too.

What is Reiki Healing?

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive healing technique that aims to restore balance and promote relaxation and healing. The word “Reiki” is made up of two different Japanese words — “rei”, which means "Universal Higher Power”, and Ki which means “life force energy”. Combined, the Reiki tradition means “spiritually guided life force energy". People turn to Reiki for various reasons, including stress reduction, emotional healing, physical pain relief, and spiritual growth. It involves the practitioner channeling energy into the client by using their hands, either through light touch or by hovering over the body. Many people appreciate Reiki for its holistic approach to well-being, focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. Have you tried Reiki, or are you considering it for a specific reason? Spiritual Meaning of the Crow & Black Feathers

The crow is often seen as a symbol of transformation, intelligence, and mystery in various spiritual traditions. It is associated with both life and death, bridging the physical and spiritual realms. In many cultures, crows are viewed as messengers or guides, often believed to carry messages from the afterlife or serve as protectors in times of change. They are also linked to wisdom, adaptability, and resourcefulness due to their cleverness and ability to thrive in diverse environments. The crow’s black feathers often represent the unknown, darkness, or the hidden aspects of life, encouraging a deeper exploration of the self and the world around you.

In Reiki, black feathers can carry a symbolic meaning related to grounding, protection, and the release of negative energy. Feathers, in general, are often seen as messengers and conduits for spiritual energy. A black feather, specifically, may represent a call to embrace the shadow aspects of oneself or the need to release old, stagnant energy in order to make space for healing and transformation.

Some practitioners may use black feathers during a Reiki session to aid in clearing energetic blockages, help with deep emotional healing, or assist in connecting with protective spiritual energies. The color black, being linked to protection and spiritual strength, can help facilitate a process of deep cleansing and grounding during energy work.

If you're working with black feathers in your Reiki practice, it can be helpful to meditate on the feather, allowing its symbolism to guide you in clearing your mind, releasing negativity, and inviting in healing and protection.
