Welcome!
I’m so glad you’re here 🙂
Shea Borton obtained her MSN in Nursing Education from Indiana University in 2024 after receiving both her ASN in 2007 and BSN in 2018 from Purdue University. She has also received the following certifications: CGRN certification in 2020 and Certified Nurse Novice Educator (CNEn) certification in 2024. She has worked in endoscopy since 2015 and works at IU Health University Hospital in the ERCP/GI Department, primarily circulating/teching interventional bronchoscopy and GI procedures. She serves as a member of Item Writing Committee for the American Board of Certification for Gastroenterology Nurses, writing test questions for the CGRN examination. She was a poster presenter at SGNA’s 50th Annual Course in Arizona and a Session Speaker at the 51st Annual Course in Kentucky. She is currently studying to become a Level 1 NAHA Certified Aromatherapist at The School For Aromatic Studies. She pours into the next generation of nurses as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for Marian University and IU Indianapolis School of Nursing (spring 2025). She was nominated for the Preceptor Daisy Award from a IU Nursing Student last December. She owns two sole proprietorships: Love Thy Neighbor Oils and Banqueting Table Pottery. You can spot her hiking trails, but when she is not in nature, you can find her reading a good book or throwing some clay on the potter’s wheel. You can connect with her at www.bloomingshea.com or @theprepgirlRN on Instagram.
