I’m Sue - the face behind Blubella.

You might be wondering how a city girl with a passion for fashion ended up running an online store in the WA Wheatbelt.....

Like many teachers, nurses & finance clerks I moved to the WA Wheatbelt to further my career. As fate would have it I met a local boy, married & had 3 boys. Now I’ve been a proud local for over 30 years.

I love the peaceful country life on the farm, but I’ve never lost my fascination with fashion and all things girly. Living in a rural area, it’s always been a struggle to source quality, stylish clothing that fits
my petite size and allows me to express my own style. After speaking to friends, I knew that finding clothes we wanted to wear was a problem that we all faced - leaving us no option but to save our shopping trips for city visits.

With our teen boys growing up and away at boarding school, I was ready for a new challenge that offered flexibility around my farming and family commitments. I also yearned to support our tightknit farming community by keeping jobs and spending local.

Blubella launched in 2017 with a series of pop up shops in local towns. Now with our online store, personal viewings by appointment, and participation in local events, Blubella can finally offer a wide range of quality fashion at affordable prices to local women. We get the best of both worlds - the fashion we love, in the place we call home.
