It's Time to Feel Like You

Gender-Affirming Services for All People

Hear what people are saying about their all inclusive, affirming, hair service!

Morgan (They/Them)

I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted but knowing I needed a change. Bri was wonderfully supportive of my sensory needs and was super helpful with offering cut suggestions. I really appreciated the acknowledgement that clippers can make abrasive sounds and that if I needed to take a break due to overstimulation it was completely okay to do! It was so wonderful to have someone that understands the possible triggers of getting one’s hair cut and not feeling like I just needed to suffer through a potentially bad experience. I honestly look forward to being able to go back and get my hair cut by Bri again!

Sonia (She/Her)

Bri is always a delight, super professional and down to earth, and very attentive to my aesthetic needs! My favorite thing that they do is check in with me as they’re cutting my hair to see if I am liking what I’m seeing or if anything needs to be changed, it feels collaborative and makes me feel like I can trust Bri entirely with my hair.

Alyssa (She/Her)

Bri did an AMAZING job with my wavy hair!! They were so kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process and spent so much time teaching me how to properly care, wash, style, and diffuse my wavy hair. My hair has been a breeze to style since my cut, and I’ve received so many compliments. Truly obsessed with the results and can’t wait to keep coming back to Bri in the future!

About

Bri (They/Them)

I entered the hair industry to become the person that I needed when I was younger. I am nonbinary, meaning I don't find comfort in traditional femininity or masculinity; and I know first hand what it's like to ask your hairstylist to chop off all your hair into a crop with a skin fade only to walk out with a dainty, soft, dysphoric, pixie cut. I started cutting and coloring my own hair so I could look how I wanted, and without judgement from the people in the salon. Years later I became a licensed cosmetologist learning; haircutting, coloring, and extensions, to create the gender affirming experience I was missing. Your hair tells just as much as a carabiner or handkerchief. It should resonate with who you are and tell people how you want to be perceived.

I'm always looking for ways to support my community! Outside of the salon I am a Counselor for the Sam and Devorah Trans Youth Retreat, providing gender affirming hair services for the Trans Youth and Counselors. I am also a key hair artist for Broadway Bares: a charity show raising money to help those living with HIV/AIDS. When I'm not volunteering I'm either at home bingeing RuPaul's Drag Race, or out looking for live music. I have a mental rolodex of fun facts and a plethora of stories from my cat's endless shenanigans. If any of this resonates with you then I would love to see you in my chair!
