WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR MICROBLADING APPOINTMENT

Location: Storgata 19, Oslo

When you arrive at the address, you walk in the same entrance as "Brun og Blid" in Stogata 19. When you walk inside, you will see stairs down to the left. Go down the stairs and I will give you a health form you will fill in before your treatment.

I will look at your eyebrows, cleanse them, take a before/after picture and start drawing the shape.
When creating the shape of the eyebrows, I create the brows out from "The Golden Intersection" principal using a compass creating them by your facial propotions to find the right shape for you.
The colour of your eyebrows will be decided by factors as your natural hair colour, skin type and age. After drawing the shape you will take a look and approve it or not and we can make changes to adjuct the brow thickness.

Numbing cream will be used after the skin is opened after the first pass so there should be minimal pain.

The Microblading-treatment usually take around 3 hours.

How to prepare for your appointment

BEFORE TREATMENT
•Avoid wax, thread, or pluck your eyebrows in any way for as long as possible before your appointment

•Avoid intense sunlight 3 days before the Microblading-treatment

•Botox, fillers or facials should not be done 4 weeks before the treatment. You should also wait 4 weeks after the treatment with this procedures

•Avoid Microblading-treatment close to vacations or special events as aftercare is important and healing phases may not be the best during special events.

24 HOURS BEFORE TREATMENT
•Do not drink alcohol, energy drinks or caffeine. This is important as it can cause more bleeding during the treatment that can make it harder for me to work on the brows. Also it can effect the pigment.

48 HOURS BEFORE TREATMENT
•Avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, Ibuprofen, fish oil (Omega 3) and vitamins.

Please note: You will be more sensetive during your menstrual cycle.

DURING TREATMENT
It is important to lay still during the treatment withouth talking as the muscles on the brow area will move.

AFTER TREATMENT
When you have finished the treatment, apply the cream I send with you 30 minutes later. First rinse eyebrows carefuly with lukewarm water with antibacterial soap. Then apply a thin layer of the cream I have given to you. You should do this 3-5 times the same day. For the next 6 days, avoid water on your brows but apply the cream with a thin layer 3-5 times a day.

FIRST 7 DAYS:
•Avoid all creams (except the one I will send with you).

•Do not use makeup in the eyebrow area. Avoid workouts that lead to a lot of sweating as well as saunas, facial massages and steaming.

NEXT 30 DAYS:
•Avoid tanning, light therapy, chemical peels, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, creams that contain regeneration factors. Avoid laser treatments over treated area (Fraxel, IPL), this can damage the laser pigment and cause burning.

•Always protect your eyebrows from the sun using a sunscreen (do not use sunscreen for the first 7 days).

•The use of antibiotics and hormone therapy can lead to faster fading of pigments.

WHEN NOT FOLLOWING THE AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS YOU MAY RISK INFECTIONS, SCARRING, PIGMENT LOSS OR DISCOLORATION.

FAQS

IS MICROBLADING PERMANENT?
Microblading is not permanent. The results from Microblading have semi permanent qualities for two reasons. First, the pigment used for Microblading has an iron oxide base rather than a carbon base that is used for permanent cosmetics. Second, Microblading pigment is not implanted into the skin as deep when compared to permanent cosmetic procedures.

DOES MICROBLADING FADE?
Microblading tends to fade gradually over time, so a touch-up is reccomended 12-18 months after the initial microblading which keeps the colour of each microstroke looking vibrant. It's important to know, even though the colour gradually gets lighter, it will not fade into shades of blue or pink like the fading that occours with permanent cosmetics.

HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?
The healed results of microblading last between one and three years. The variation in time is determinded by lifestyle, sun exposure and skin type. Someone with an oilier skin type tends to experience results that fade quicker compared to someone with a drier skin type.

DOES EYEBROW MICROBLADING HURT?
You will feel a light scratch during the treatment. Pain varies to each client, most clients say there is some discomfort, while I also experienced someone even to take a nap. I also use numbing cream after the first pass.

WHAT IS THE MICROBLADING PROCESS?
The colour will appear darker through the first week or so. This is because the pigment takes around seven days to enter the deeper layers of skin. After seven to ten days, exfolation takes place. The top layer of the skin peels off, leaving a softer, lighter color below. The result leaves you with softer and more natural lines. As the treated area continues to heal, itching may occour. Itching is a good sign as it means the skin is healing. The complete healing process for microbladed eyebrows typically takes four- six weeks and in this time it is required a touch-up for the final results.
