Changes to the UK Visit rules came into effect on 1 𝘿𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 2020

𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

UK Visit rules came into effect on 1 𝘿𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 2020. There are minor changes to this route. 

You can come to the UK as a Standard Visitor:

▫️For tourism, for example on a holiday or to see your family and friends
▫️for certain business activities, for example attending a meeting
▫️to do a short course of study
▫️to take part in research or an exchange programme as an academic
▫️for medical reasons, for example to receive private medical treatment

𝙑𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙩 𝙑𝙞𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙛𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙨
A visitor is also expected to demonstrate that he or she has sufficient funds to cover all reasonable costs of their visit.

However, the funds may be provided by a third party.
The third party is expected to prove a genuine professional or personal relationship with the applicant, that he or she is not in breach of immigration laws at the time of the decision or the applicant’s entry to the UK as a visitor and he or she is able to support the applicant during his or her stay as a visitor.

The Home Office often assesses the information provided separately from the third party’s part of the application. 

Explain every income or transaction on your bank or financial statements.
Submit your explanation with approved evidence including letters from financial institutions.
Don’t leave anything to chance.

𝘼𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙨𝙖𝙡

Reasons for refusal can include where the Entry Clearance Officer questions the applicant’s finances and is not satisfied that the applicant’s purpose is to visit.

𝙎𝙤 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙣:

🔵How long will you be away from your job?

🔵Are you able to explain the origin of the funds in your bank account?

🔵If you are visiting the UK with your dependants, are the funds sufficient to cover the duration of your stay?

With the changes to the rules, you must ensure that the funds are held in a permitted financial institution.

It is also important to seek advice as to the relevant documents required showing that you can meet the requirements and how the costs of your visit will be met.
