Sleep. Sleep is incredible important. People 18 years and older are advised to sleep between 7-9 hours per night. If you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, yoga and meditation can both help a lot. Easy way to start is by following you breath and following the stream of your breath going in and out your body. This will put your focus elsewhere and creates space between you and your thoughts.
Try something new! It is good for your brain to do something new or different from what you’re used to. Brush your teeth with your other hand, eat a new food, try a different route to work, etc.
Take a walk for a breath of fresh air, focus in what you see and hear, and try to entirely enjoy the moment.
Learn to say “no” to people if there’s something you do not want to do or not want to get involved in.
Let yourself be pleased with your achievements, both big and small!
Every morning and every night, right down 2 things you are grateful for.
Practice yoga to become aware of your body, practice meditation to become aware of your thoughts. It both creates needed connecting and space.
