Started in the summer of 2021, the love of trying new coffee and experimenting with different flavors was the inspiration for buying a small air roaster, and now, after practicing with different beans and giving it to friends and coworkers to test, we are ready to share it with you! All of our coffee is roasted in 2 or 3 pound batches, with the intent of pulling flavor out of the bean. We offer flavored beans as well, but developing black coffee that is smooth and full of flavor is our goal.

Less than 10% of the coffee worldwide is roasted by air, as compared to the rest being roasted in a drum. The fluid bed air system is much like popping popcorn, with the beans being elevated by a stream of hot air being shot through them, which allows the dirt and chaff to be sucked away while they are roasting, giving it a "clean" taste that is noticably different than the flavor from a large drum roaster, where the chaff is trapped inside the drum during the whole roast cycle. The result is a bean that is clean, and hasn't picked up any bitter flavor notes from being tumbled with the burning chaff.
