A little bit about me

Two words to describe me would be friendly and funny. A few more would say that i’m kind, loyal and reliable.

I am extremely fortunate to be able to call Byron Bay home and am lucky enough to live within 3km of Byron CBD.

Originally from Melbourne, my husband and I decided to move our dream of living in paradise forward 20 years. A decision brought on early due to COVID and the disruption it caused my husbands business. It’s been 18 months now and we haven’t looked back.

I currently work in finance and work from home part time.
I love what I do but am looking to include some work that’s outside of the home -
I really miss face to face interaction.

I don’t have a current CV ready so have decided to put this funky little website together. I hope it will suffice.

My work history

I am the voice and face behind All Bar One.
A debt recovery service I created that takes a holistic approach to an often callous and aggressive industry.
Assisting businesses both big and small with keeping their cash flowing - this has been my specialty for the last 5 years and is ongoing.
I sub contract to a Melbourne based company, Two Birds Consulting and have 15 clients Australia wide. Building close relationships with my clients is something I pride myself on. Due to this, I don’t like to spread myself too thin, so I’m not actively seeking more clients at this stage.
I have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and am proficient with technology and software programs Xero and Work Flow Max.

I also have an tiny retail business called Pillowface. My novelty pillowcases have been putting smiles on people’s faces for 8 years now and it still brings me joy.
It also keeps my sales, retail and creative skills sharp and up to date.

My background is predominantly in Hospitality. Ranging from three Venue Manager roles over 10 years at The Viper Room, Ocean Blue and Crown Casino.
I have 5 years of Sales experience. My first job was in a music store which I loved. I then had a role as National Sales Manager for Sexpo Australia for 3 years.
(That was an interesting job!)
This role included a lot of national travel for sales, recruitment and event management.
I’ve also done numerous markets and exhibitions with Pillowface over the last 8 years which has added to my sales repertoire.

I have managed many teams and have been involved in recruitment, culture and HR in most of my roles.

I have a big passion for food and service and have gained sporadic experience in the Catering and Events industry the last 6 years. My husband was a chef and being able to assist him with events when required was really great.

I was an Executive Assistant for construction company, Project Individual Design for 15 months. Here I gained further experience in admin with a focus on diary keeping and national and international travel management. This role included international travel to China.

I am a multi skilled all rounder with the ability to do many tasks within many roles.

I have loved mister zimi for many years now. Some of my all time favourite designs are Charlie, Tamara, Nina and Colette.

I am of the age and experience that I wouldn’t work in the retail industry for a brand I couldn’t endorse with conviction and honesty.
