Getting to know your Chef
A native of California's Bay area but raised in Tobacco country of North Carolina, I started my career as a chef at a very early age.
Knowing what career i wanted since the age of 10. I began to study to craft my trade. Joined Job Corps treasure Island at 18 years old to study advanced culinary. Decided to continue my studies at San Francisco California Culinary Academy 2001. After school worked at Sir Francis Drake Hotel as assistant pastry chef refining baking skills making sponge cake, yeast breads, and custards. Loving the aspect of cooking, decided to work in entertainment side of business and became a chef at Levy Restaurants and Aramark. Mornings I would cook in Oakland A's locker room making them breakfast buffet with omlette action station. At night I would cook for Levy restuarant making antipasta table, BBQ prime rib, dessert table, salads and cheese platters. I would have the honor of seeing stars like Carlos Santana and Danny Glover enjoy the spread created by me and crew of Levy lead by Chef Desmond Calhoun. Have prepped and cooked for 8,000 people at Infinity Raceway. After my venture with Levy Restaurants I would end up on the beautiful island of Hawaii where I have created menus and opened two successful restaurants in Kailua Kona. Foster Kitchen where I can be seen with Triple D's Guy Fieri episode 25 Playing with Chicken. Recently created menus and recipes for Willies Hot Chicken. Worked for Koanaiki where I was blessed to work beside very talented Chef Patrick and Chef Alika who worked with me on creating daily menus for our wonderful guests. Most recently have helped Kona Seafood Market develop menus for food stand and market place. Now I'm starting my new venture in the private chef world and cooking channel on Youtube OoowhatsNext. My time as a chef is far from over. I hope my story intrigues you to come and give your taste buds a reboot of profound flavors and textures that will leave your mouth watering for months.
