Heeeyyy, so here’s a brief synopsis of who Nel is... Nel is short for “Chanel!” I really don’t like to be called “Nel,” I just thought it went well with the podcast title. My real nicknames are Cocoa or Pooh.

Okay. Let’s get into the real juicy stuff about Nel!! I grew up in a complex called “Georgia King Village (GKV) in Newark, NJ. Woot, Woot!! Love my hood, and city!! Only the strong survive!!

I went to Essex County College where I’ve obtained an AAS degree in Physical Therapist Assistant. I’ve been a PTA for about 11 years now, and love what I do. Recently, I’ve become a Director of Rehab. I manage a team of Physical Therapists/Assistants, Occupational Therapists/Assistants, and Speech Therapists. I love working with patients and my team, and seeing team progress everyday, however, I’m on the road to hire myself. I’m a single mom of a beautiful little girl named Zara. Becoming a mom has been the absolute best thing that has ever happened to me! I love this motherhood journey. ❤️ Zara is 8-years-old, and is smart and hilarious. She makes life worth living for.

This podcasting journey is something that I’ve started for fun, but now I’m creating a business around it. My goal is to set-up for my daughter’s future. I want to show her that she can strive for entrepreneurship as well. I believe in doing what you love, but it doesn’t always have to be punching someone else’s clock.
