Our Story

Horses have been the focus point of my life for as long as I can remember. I found my passion for horses at just 3 years old (so my mum tells me) when I got to have my first pony ride on holiday. From that moment on I was hooked! As none of my family were horse lovers, I spent every waking hour I could at the riding school and dreamed of one day owning my very own horse.

Whilst I was studying at university, a horse I had on loan became injured with 6 months of box rest. As luck would have it the owner also had a rising 3 year old that she offered to me as a 'project' whilst my loan was recovering. I jumped at the opportunity! However I had zero knowledge or experience of how to train a horse from scratch, but we have got to start somewhere! And so I found my heart horse... The one who changed my life... and soon he would become mine... My Bailey!

Although Bailey had had very little handling previous to my starting work with him, he had the most relaxed temperament, and was naturally very forgiving, so I tried my best! Fast forward 6 years and we are completely inseparable. I may have made a few errors along the way and have ended up with a horse that is trained... Uniquely... But is the bravest, boldest, most honest horse I have met. We have taught each other everything we know and are continuously learning every day.

This is where my absolute passion for training horses has blossomed. We have tried our hand (and hoof) at everything we can. I am self taught and proud! I find the bond we have created through training and endless hours of groundwork, is the reason for his fantastic temperament. I have started up C.Jayne Horsemanship to help everyone have their very own version of Bailey. Being around horses should be anything BUT stressful. They are our therapy at the end of a long week of work.
