Well, we have been sold the idea that if a product is sulfate and paraben free that means is safe enough to use. Unfortunately, it is not. There are many, many, too many other ingredients like, alcohol, silicone and triclosan, just to mention a few, that should not be an ingredient in any self care product we buy.
