Our read-aloud is “Amon's Secret: A Family Story of the First Christians” by Arnold Ytreeide. It is a follow-up story to “Amon’s Adventure,” which is part of a series of books read during Advent (Amin’s Adventure is a Lent read). In this story, we follow along with Amon, a new Christian, and the challenges the church faced in those early days.
Amon’s Secret on AmazonThis flip book is a series of simple and short catechisms (questions and answers) based on the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments reveal our sinfulness and inability to keep them, pointing to Jesus Christ, the Savior, who was perfectly obedient. It is a great resource to help hide God’s rich truth in our hearts.
