Top 5 Products that you NEED to be a DIY Bride
In 2022, there is set to be over 2.6 million weddings what's wrong baby in the US, with the average in 2021 wedding being $22k, according to Business Insider. • Getting married in the next few years is going to be extremely EXPENSIVE. Being a DIY bride may be the only way you can have the Pinterest Wedding you've created on your boards. Prior to Courtney Loves a Soirée, I had a bridal store on Etsy called Monarch Creatives. I made many personalized gifts for brides/bridesmaids and tons of bachelorette decor. I'm going to be sharing some of those ideas with you! Here are my top 5 crafting products that are imperative to your ability to be a DIY bride!

Cricut-The Ultimate Cutting Machine
If you aren’t familiar with what a Cricut is, let me introduce you to your DIY BFF for the next year. This machine will make all of you DIY Pinterest dreams come true. According to Wikipedia the definition of this incredible product is, “Cricut is an American brand of cutting plotters, or computer-controlled cutting machines, designed for home crafters. The machines are used for cutting paper, felt, vinyl, fabric[1] and other materials such as leather, matboard, and wood.” Basically, it’s a very fancy cutting machine with endless wedding project opportunities.
Trust me…I know buying a Cricut is not a cheap investment. Make sure you factor it into your wedding budget. There’s also a learning curve to using the machine + Design Program. But, if you’re planning on DIY-ing bridesmaid gifts, bachelorette party décor or wedding signage (just a few of the amazing things you're able to create) it’s completely WORTH the initial upfront cost. When you must buy items in multiples (for each memeber of the wedding party) the cost can add up really quick. If you have a crafty bone in your body OR maybe this is when you bug your MOH to help out. DIY-ing is the way to go. I use the Cricut Explorer Air 2 which is sufficient for my needs.
In 2021, Cricut released the Cricut Maker 3 & Cricut Air Explorer 3. The maker is geared towards the serious hobbyist, who is looking to sell their products. The Cricut Explorer Air 3 would be the cutting machine I would suggest for the DIY Bride. Both machines are incredible & I guarantee hours of DIY fun for all. Well maybe not your groom.

If you are a Cricut newbie, this design program really helped me start my Cricut journey. I love the image library & the convenience of it being right in the program. The available projects for you to create are great for practicing, because they give you DETAILED step by step directions, allowing you to completely understand the design program & its cool features. You can cancel at anytime, giving you the freedom to use it only when you need to.
