A farmstay located in the lazy village of Sambok in Bermiok, West Sikkim.

Get your hands dirty by engaging in farm activities, take a leisurely stroll through the village, sit by the fireplace and warm your toes, watch the clouds drift by and savor the hues of the sunset as it paints the sky in a myriad of colors, or simply sit back and revel in the awe-inspiring view of the mountains.

Here, time stands still, and you are free to unwind, relax and just be.

The space

As you step inside Daarapari, you are greeted by two houses.

The main house is perfect for families and couples seeking tranquility and peace.
In this unit there are three rooms, each evoking a sense of coziness, homeliness and comfort.

In the middle of the three rooms, there's a comfortable lounge with sofas and tv and also a mini library with hosts collection of knick-knacks, board games, and books that span a wide range of topics from art, travel and photography to novels.

The other unit, perfect for travellers and friends, promises an immersive experience of hospitality and warmth. There are two rooms in this unit.
The dorm room with two bunk beds is ideal for those who seek to find new friends and adventure, while the private room provides a serene sanctuary for those who seek solitude.

Take in the stunning sunset view and the majestic mountains from the common deck, or gaze up at the stars in the open lawn. The soul-soothing ambience, and the natural beauty of the surroundings, all come together to create an experience that is nothing short of magical.

So, come unwind and lose yourself in the beauty of slow living.

Things to do around the farm

Daarapari farm is spread across 20+ acres of land, with plenty to explore and discover.

Take leisurely walks through the lush cardamom forest, pluck fresh fruits from the fruit orchards, milk a cow, dip yourself in the cool freshwater stream that runs through the farm, or get your hands dirty in the soil and help with organic farming.

For those who love DIY, there are plenty of opportunities to get creative. Whether it's making your own jam from freshly picked fruits or learning how to weave baskets from hay, there's always something new to try.

The host of the farmstay is also a keen photographer, and they will be more than happy to take you on a photo walk through the farm.

The village

The traditional Limboo village that Daarapari is located in, is a treasure trove of culture and hospitality. Take a village walk and be greeted with warm smiles and an invitation to their humble homes to try the local millet beer, Share a story or two.

For those who love hiking, there are plenty of trails to explore. Climb up the hill for a breathtaking view of Mount Kanchenjunga. Hike down to reach the Kalej River, where you can picnic by the lazy river or even camp overnight.

Reaching Us

Easily accesible by road, Daarapari is located almost an hour away from major sightseeing points of West Sikkim, which makes it a great base to explore the region while still having a peaceful retreat to come back to.
