It’s a sequel to my debut collection (Psychogenic Skies) with 3 self portrait photographs, all taken and edited on an iPhone, manually distorted to make each piece convey a certain thought and emotion with the hope that every collector can look at each piece and feel every inch of the artist that was poured into the work.

It’s a collection of 4 uniquely distorted photographs, each piece separately detailed with immense emotion and intent to express the views of the artist towards mental health as a creative. Every collector receives a certificate of authenticity. In addition, a free 16x20” print will be made and shipped to the collectors of the DESTRUCTIVE and CREATIVE piece only.
Also, a portion of the proceeds will go to investing into the works of artist like me who are new to the NFT community to help bolster their confidence in themselves and their work.

WORTH
As an iPhonographer in the Photography space, it’s tougher than usual due to the fact that I’m in a community populated with photographers with digital cameras. I never regarded my works with the amount of worth and value they deserve until now. Through NFT, I’ve come to realize that the pieces I create are just as worthy and valuable -if not more- as any other picture created with a digital camera. I now understand that the end product determines the worth, the gadgets does not.

PASSION
Previously, it used to be all about taking extremely amazing pictures and satisfying clients, but now i've discovered a new passion that's constantly rekindled by my desire to outdo myself. It burns profusely and has become a big motivator, forcing me to venture outside of my comfort zone and unlock new creative possibilities.

AMBITION
I set an objective for myself instinctively as a result of personal experience. It has always been on my mind, but I didn't consciously do anything about it since i was skeptical of its feasibility. I've now accepted the fact that nothing is truly unattainable if you put your mind to it and stay consistent. iPhonography, as well as mobile photography, will soon play a significant role in the photography industry. No Food for Lazyman
A daevidAdeola NFT collection.
This is an iPhonographed documentary of hardworking Nigerians in a
marketplace found in an area called Agege in the city of Lagos. Asides
displaying the prowess of mobile photography, the main aim of the collection is
to countervail the spreading notion that all Nigerians are lazy persons and
scammers by capturing them doing what they do everyday to earn a just living
clearing the stereotype one picture at a time.
Yam and Akara Woman
This is a composite photograph developed from 2 candid portrait images of a woman selling fried yam, beans cake (popularly known as Akara) and puff. These are popular street foods in Nigeria.
Ice cream man
This is a composite photograph developed from 2 candid portrait images of a man selling ice cream and people patronizing.
Lemon Man
This is a candid photograph of a man selling lemon and freshly squeezed lemon juice. He displays his goods using a wheelbarrow which also helps make moving from one place to another less difficult.
Iya Ghanamustgo
This is a candid photograph of a woman who sells various bags including the Ghanaian Sack (popularly called Ghanamustgo in Nigeria) hung and displayed on a wooden frame. She was captured trying to loosen the knot holding bags together with her teeth.

PSYCHOGENIC SKIES
Being a creative, just like other professions, presents its own set of unique challenges, particularly in terms of our mental health. Whether you're a photographer, an artist, a writer, or anything else, the majority of our works are in sync with our emotions and how we feel at any predetermined hour. Sometimes we're in a state of ecstasy, with a flood of inspirations pouring in and us expressing them through our works.
And other times, we are in a state of numbness, where nothing penetrates and we do not feel or act. We create nothing. I have recently passed through these phases and have chosen to express how they felt through what I do best, CREATE.

Discovery.eth is a follow-up to my debut collection (Psychogenic Skies), and it was made to depict my rebirth as an artist following a mental breakdown. It expresses the rediscovery of three distinct characteristics that, when combined, make the new artist in me. It also serves as a sort of encouragement to other artists, reminding them that they have great WORTH, their PASSION is always blazing, and they'll keep going till they reach their AMBITION.
